Dr Bogna Czerwińska-Szymula

Dr Bogna Czerwińska-Szymula pianist, born in 1980 in Gdańsk, graduated with a distinction from the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk after studies with prof. Grażyna Fiedoruk-Sienkiewicz (2003). She obtained scholarships from the City President of Gdańsk, and she was also awarded scholarship to participate in International Music Courses in Interlochen (USA). She developed her abilities in music courses with Nelson Goerner, Jerzy Marchwiński, Duo Pepicelli and Tomasz Tomaszewski. Bogna Czerwińska-Szymula has been on the faculty of her Alma Mater in Gdańsk in Chamber Music Department, where in June 2012 she was granted a doctoral degree.

Bogna Czerwińska-Szymula has won numerous awards and distinctions in national and international pianist and especially chamber music competitions, including Special Prize in prestigious XXXIII International Chamber Music Competition „Premio Vittorio Gui” in Florence in 2010, III prize in III Johannes Brahms International Chamber Music Competition in Gdańsk and III prize in VII International Chamber Music Competition in Belarus (Smorgon).
Also as a teacher she has many accomplishments - her students have won numerous awards in international piano duo competitions in San Marino, Rome, Gioia del Colle, Białystok and Warsaw.

Bogna Czerwińska-Szymula was performed in many cities of Poland also in USA, Germany, Italy and Belarus. She played in national polish festivals in Katowice and Jelenia Góra. She regularly performed in northern Poland.

Curently Bogna Czerwińska-Szymula frequently performed in piano duet with violinists. She is a reputable piano partner in Gdańsk. She also collaborate with The Polish Baltic Frédéric Chopin Philharmonic as a piano and celesta player.

Bogna Czerwińska-Szymula is also a score editor. She collaborate with Eufonium Edition. Under her edition have been published many works such compositors as Juliusz Zarębski, Friedrich Kalkbrenner, Karol Lipiński, Emanuel Kania.
